Why am I the "BITCH"

What a rough day in the office! I have to say for the most part I am the "Fun Bobby" at work but please do not misunderstand what Im saying, work hard to play hard and always know work comes before play. Why doesn't everyone know this rule? Here is what I hate about work and having "friends" at work. See most days things run smooth at the hotel and its not often that I have to play bad cop but when the time comes that you are not doing your job and the guest service is being compermised cause your slacking off I have to be the one who says "Oh no this is not how we do things around here" and when I do that all of the sudden people are mad at me and call me a bitch because YOU werent doing YOUR job! WTF how is it my fault that you got called out for NOT working! I mean Im not a babysitter and we are all adults here so when the times comes that your getting in trouble for not working please do not blame anyone but yourself.

My next question is this, Can a manager and an employee really be "friends"? I ask this because I think for the most part I am friends with all the people I work with and I guess thats why people dont respect me as a manager and then when its time for me to step into that role all of the sudden you hate me and we are not friends anymore? I dont see where that is fair. As an adult it is your job to take responsabilty for your actions and own them. How can I be the bad guy for what you did wrong!! Grr that pisses me off! Oh well such is life and it is what it is. I will survive but I just need to vent sometimes...
